Glint & Glimmer

The objective of this project was to design and model a light that somehow solved a problem.  Then design packaging for the light as well as a magazine advertisement.  The solution is a light that was energy efficent. The light is inspired by a bat and is solar powered.  It responds to sunlight – opens and closes to reveal the crystal bulb in the center depending on how much light hits the glass panels. The advertisements play with the idea of the light taking on the role of an actual bat in its natural habitat.  The packaging showcases the product and is decorated with elements from a bat’s habitat.
