Project Runway

A collaboration with fashion designer Tomiko Harris, who at the time, was competing in Buffalo State College’s annual Project Runway. Her collection, entitled “Chaotic Cortex,” was inspired by mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. The prints used in Tomiko’s pieces are brought to life in the animation. They reference brain scans and the artwork of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The animation has hand-rendered feeling, which was accomplished with a rotoscope method.
